DISCUSSION/BACKGROUND:
Iowa 156 begins at Iowa
5 approximately four miles west of the City of Bussey,
and travels easterly and southerly into the City of Bussey.
Transfer of
jurisdiction agreement number TJ‑156‑0 (2), between the City of
Bussey, and the Iowa Department of Transportation, transferred that portion of
Iowa 156 from Fifth Street northerly and westerly to the west corporation line
to city jurisdiction on December 19, 1980.
PROPOSAL/ACTION
RECOMMENDATION:
It is
recommended the commission approve deleting the present description of Iowa 156 in Marion
County from the primary road system
and approve including the attached new description of Iowa 156 in the primary road system.
Locate Iowa 156 in Marion
County as follows:
Beginning it

review of our Primary Road System records, Iowa

primary system and the new description added should be officially included into
the Primary Road System.
Iowa 156 begins at the junction of Iowa 5 approximately 5 miles northwest of Bussey, and
travels easterly and southerly terminating in Bussey, Iowa.

RECOMMENDATION:
Locate Iowa 156 and its extension in Marion County
as follows:
Beginning at
a point approximately 200 feet west of the NE Corner of Section 18‑T74N‑R18W
